wc:Ocean Currents

.Ocean currents is the movement of the water.
.The Gulf stream/north atlantic drift is the movement of warm water from the Gulf of Mexico towards the North Pole.
.This warm current warms the waters on the west coast of Britain.

wc: Distance from sea

.The sea heats up the coast.
.The sun in the summer heats the sea. The sea takes longer to heat up and takes longer to cool again.(like a chicken!!!)
.The land takes slower to heat up and it takes slower to cool down.(like chips)

wc:Prevailing Winds

.Prevailing winds is the direction in which the wind is blowing in different places.
.Prevailing winds form over warm places.
.If the wing comes across the sea it will be a wet wind and if it came over land it will be a dry wind.
.Warm air brings warm weather.

WC ALTITUDE

.Alitude is the hight above sea level.
.The higher you go the colder it gets.
.The higher you go the air gets thinner so it get colder.
.When you go higher it rains more.

wc:latitude

.How far North or South a place is from the equator.
.The sun makes the the places near the equator more consentrated.
.the equator is hot and there is convectional rainfall there.
.There is low temprature at the top and the bottom of the earth. It is cooler because there is further for the heat of the sun to travel.

wc:Aspect

.Aspect is the direction a slope faces.
.Slopes that face the equator are warm.
.If you live in the north hem you want your garden to face the south because it will be hotter.

wc:hurricane Katrina

Effects:There was a lot of flooding in the New Orleans.By August 31, 2005, 80% of New Orleans was flooded, with some parts under 15 feet (4.5 m) of water. Hurricane Katrina made its second and third landfalls in the Gulf Coast region on August 29.Roads and buildings were damaged but the real problem was the flooding.

wc:hurricane Katrina

Causes:It is to do with very low preasure out at sea.It draws up warm water on the way.It gets bigger and bigger as it made its way to the Florida coats. It got very fast when it went on the land
